Mom Legs

No not these dimpled up un recognizable tree trunks I'm walking around on but Mom Legs, like Sea Legs.  Assertion as a mom.  Does that make sense?

When moms of babies older than let's say, 6 months old, know everything and poor lil newborn moms are too bleary eyed and panicked to make informed decisions? Have you experienced this?

I think new moms are treated by some as "unknowing" and people feel like advice is just what the poor gal ordered! Like, "sleep when the baby sleeps".  What?? This is just a mean thing to say and intended to make mama think she is doing it wrong!!! Sleeping when the baby sleeps is not real, unless of course it's during the overnight hours, then mama is out like s light.

But I guess what I'm saying is, new moms struggle with feeling like they can assert themselves as the mother of their new baby and know that they are doing it just right.  I don't even like the term "a more experienced mom" but you know what I'm saying. She may know exactly how to mother her baby and feel like you should do it her way too, but you know your baby and your skills and that is just as good as her!! 1 week old or 18 month old!

All wrapped up, I think new moms need all the confidence they can get and moms of older babies should know that best, and quit the cycle of advice and just sit back, smile, and be glad their little pups are out of the "feeding every two hour stage".

Assert yourselves mommies you are doing a great job!!

What does that mean, Be Bendy?

After a trip to the mall today, with all those mirrors (come on Lululemon it's time to get Victoria's Secret lighting in your dressing room) I decided its time to get this post-baby body closer to resembling my pre-baby body. So to Be Bendy is to let it all hang out (and eventually in, come on with these abs already!) and get on my yoga mat, to be flexible in my new life as a mom and vegetarian, and learn to let go of some of my preconceived notions of beauty and success.

Be Bendy will be full of topics, that's the whole point!
